We are currently running a drive to get some more players for the Clarendon junior tennis teams.
So if you are visiting this blog to get more information, here it is.
Matches
Saturday mornings from 8:30. Usually go for around 1-2 hours.
Locations include Kangarilla, Strathalbyn, Langhorne Creek, Milang, McLarend Flat and Macclesfield. We normally play at home every second week.
We start on Saturday 22/10, break for the Christmas holidays and then finish in March.
Training
Wednesday afternoons from 5:30pm for one hour at the Clarendon tennis courts.
Through the Clarendon tennis club, we will be arranging for a professional coach to give some specialised coaching in addition to the good work that our regular coach, John Graetz, does.
Eligibility
Generally speaking any child from the age of 7/8 upwards is encouraged to participate.
Tryouts
Still to be confirmed but undoubtedly we will be having at least one session in the school holidays.
There is no standard level of play - last year there were seven divisions.
Contact
Telephone Paul Hage on 0419113277 or email paul@hage.com.au for more information.
Communication
This blog is the primary source of information for the tennis season and it will contain the draw along with other items.
Each new blog post with extra information is emailed automatically to parents of players.
Parental obligations
Parents are encouraged to support their children. On average, every second week you will be asked to oversee a match not involving your child. This involves prompting the players to keep their own score, entering the score in the scorebook and sorting out any disputes.
